He had many friends over the years from sitting on the front porch, going to places around town, or being a member of many clubs including the Central Democrat Club. He also enjoyed movies, family outings, summer cookouts, deviling the little kids in the family, and especially loved playing penny poker. Surviving are wife Terry Fox; son Jason Wagner; brothers David Wagner, Mark Sholley; sister Faith Sholley; nieces Heather Sholley, Andrea Dunlap and other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death, in addition to his mother; stepfather Frank Kline; brother in love Paul Hammer.
