William A. "Bill" Dissinger, 86, died on June 9, 2025 at his home. He was the husband of Sandra Leinthall Dissinger with whom he was married. In addition to Sandra he leaves a son Paul of Myerstown. Born in Lebanon on January 20, 1939, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Dorothy Dissinger. He had a brother Donald and a sister Dawn. He was preceded by the passing of brothers Jack and Benjamin. He served three years in the US Army of which 30 1/2 months were at Toul Engineering Depot, France. He was a member of Faith Fellowship Church where he taught Sunday School and was active in the Men's Fellowship. He was a graduate of Lebanon High School in 1956 and Lebanon Valley College in 1963. He had a Masters Degree from Temple University and Wilkes College. He was a school teacher for 41 1/2 years of which 37 1/2 were at Cedar Crest High School. He coached baseball at Cedar Crest High School for 34 years where he had 510 wins and a winning percentage of .730. He was a member of the Lebanon County Education Association, PASR and the Lebanon County Educational Honor Society. He was inducted into the Lebanon Valley Sports Hall of Fame and Central PA Hall of Fame in 2003. He also worked at South Hills Park. He liked to read and was a big sports enthusiast.
