Walter R. White, Jr., 84, entered into eternal peace on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Manor Care.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy White of Lebanon. They enjoyed taking car rides together and stopping at their favorite restaurants where the servers loved when he was there because he was always joking with them and helped to make their day brighter. Walter was known for his quick wit and he always had a way of making everyone smile. Walter had a loving and generous heart. He loved spending time with his companion, his beagle Katie. Walter graduated from Lebanon High School in 1949. Walter was a member of the Air Force and had the honor of playing clarinet in the Air Force Band. He also played in the Perseverance Band and the Palmyra Legion Band in the 1950s. He spent his career as a television repairman. He was highly skilled in fixing all kinds of technical equipment and was an avid Ham Radio Operator. His call number was W3RE.
He leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his wife, son Walter R. White, III; stepdaughter Sherrie Davis; stepson Jack M. Heagy, Jr. and stepson Randy L. Haulman.
Viewing will be on Monday, October 31, 2016 from 10:00-11:00AM at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
Funeral services will be on Monday, October 31, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Ebenezer "Greenwood" Cemetery, Lebanon, with full military honors, following the service.
