Shirley M. Peiffer

Shirley Peiffer, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away on September 5, 2026. Born on October 24, 1937, in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, Shirley was the cherished daughter of the late Arthur (Otto) and Margaret (Peg) Spath. She was also preceded in death by her dear sister, Carole (Spath) White. Shirley leaves behind her devoted husband of 70 years, Robert L. Peiffer, with whom she shared a beautiful life since their marriage on July 7, 1956. Together, they built a close-knit family that remained the absolute center of her world. She is survived by her loving children, Shelly, Robin, and Jason; her grandchildren, Brandon, Joshua, Aubrey, Dustin, and Melina; and her great-grandchildren, Alexa, Braden, Kevin, and Josh Jr. A proud 1955 graduate of Lebanon High School, Shirley went on to drive a school bus for 30 years, serving both the Cornwall-Lebanon School District and schools in Collier County, Florida. Her dedication extended far beyond her work and into her community, where she was an active member of the VFW, Elks, American Legion, and Navy Club, forming lifelong friendships and bringing a vibrant energy wherever she went. Shirley had a genuine passion for cooking and gardening, always eager to share delicious meals and fresh harvests with those she loved. Known for her infectious laugh and joyful spirit, she had a special knack for turning everyday moments into fun, memorable times. The family expresses their deepest gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. Private services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to any of the community organizations Shirley passionately supported throughout her life. Her legacy of warmth, laughter, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
