Marilyn Louise Sholly (nee Ditzler) 86 went home to be with her heavenly Father on Wednesday, April 25 in Spang Crest Manor in Lebanon, PA surrounded by her family.
She was born in Lebanon on August 16, 1931 to the late John W. and Myrl E. Ditzler. She attended Lebanon High School. She was the wife of the late Oscar D. Sholly with whom she shared 58 years of marriage. Marilyn was a member of the Mount Wilson Church of the Brethren. Marilyn enjoyed spending time with her family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. All enjoyed her great cooking and baking.
She was preceded in death by siblings Earl Ditzler and Janice Drahovsky. Marilyn worked in the garment industry and dietary department at Lebanon Valley Brethren Home.
She is survived by four children; daughter Colleen M. Rosborough of Lebanon, wife of Gary L. Rosborough; daughter Cynthia S. Bucher of Lebanon, wife of Stanley P. Bucher; son Jeffrey L. Sholly of Lititz, husband of Alisa D. Mellinger; daughter Lisa R. Neuhauser of Hershey, wife of Gregory R. Neuhauser; 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
On Monday, April 30, 2018 a private family viewing will be followed by burial at Ebenezer Covenant Cemetery.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Mount Wilson Church of the Brethren at 1:00 pm the same day, followed by a fellowship meal.
