Lucille F. Scheib

Lucille F. Scheib, 92, of Lebanon, died on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Spang Crest Manor. She was born on Sunday, March 2, 1930 to the late Raymond Soliday and Ruth Soliday nee Clay in Lebanon. She was a member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church and was active in many women's organizations at church, Miriam Circle, Secretary of Church Council for 15 years, first female on church council, past president of Women of Salem and served on the Building Committee. She also coordinated funeral luncheons, bus trips and bazaars. Lucille was a graduate of Lebanon High School and worked for Bell Telephone Company prior to her marriage on October 7, 1950. From 1969-1984 she was department manager for Pomeroy's in Lebanon and later started and worked in the gift shop at Spang Crest for 30 years. She loved cooking, baking (especially cream puffs), traveling to Europe and numerous locations, knitting and quilting. Surviving are children Kim M. McKeon and spouse James, Kerry L. Scheib; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brothers Raymond Soliday, Gene Soliday; sisters Doris Krill, Cheryl Minney. She was preceded in death by husband Winston W. Scheib; sister Marlene Wise and spouse Harold; sister-in-law Beryl J. Lloyd spouse of Harold; father-in-law William A. Scheib and spouse Beulah. Visitation will be on Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 119 N. 8th Street, Lebanon. Funeral services will be on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the church with Eastern Star Services at 10:45AM. Burial will be at Ebenezer Covenant/Greenwood Cemetery, Lebanon, following the service. A luncheon will be provided in the Richwine Hall following the burial.
