Helen I. Engle

Helen Irene Engle, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2026, at the age of 87 at Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital. Born on March 10, 1939, in Myerstown, she spent her life dedicated to her family and community, leaving behind cherished memories and lasting legacies.Helen was known for her nurturing spirit and unwavering focus on family. She was blessed with a devoted husband, Ronald E. Engle, with whom she shared 69 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they raised son Dennis E. Engle; daughters Tamara R. Rogan, Shari L. McGovern (with son-in-law Mike McGovern), and Danette I. Greiner (with son-in-law Mike Greiner). Her family flourished under her care, and she took great pride in her 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents Raymond C. Kreiser Sr. and mother Irene Kreiser (Moyer); brothers Raymond Kreiser, Jr. and Richard Kreiser.In her professional life, Helen served as an Office Manager in the medical industry, combining her organizational skills with her compassion for others. Beyond her career, she filled her home with warmth through her hobbies of cooking and sewing, often creating wonderful meals and treasured items for those she loved. Helen was also an enthusiastic Penn State tailgater, celebrating the joys of community and camaraderie during football season.Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026 from 1:00-2:00pm at Zion United Methodist Church of Iona, 1920 S. 5th Ave. Lebanon.
