Grace W. Brubaker

Grace Evelyn Brubaker passed away September 9, 2026 at the Good Samaritan Hospital surrounded by loved ones. She was born September 15, 1928 to Jacob Werner and Sarah (VanWinkle) Werner. Grace graduated from Lebanon High School in 1946 and Wilfred Academy of Hair in 1947. Grace worked as an Assignment Clerk for the Bell Telephone Company of PA for 18 years. She then worked part-time for Lebanon's Earned Income Tax Bureau. She was married to the late George H. Brubaker for 69 years. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Werner and Frances (Werner) Smith. She was also preceded in death by 4 brothers: Russell, Luke, Richard, and Jacob, Jr.; and nephew Quentin Werner. She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church since baptized on November 3, 1929. Grace served as assistant to 4- and 5-year-olds in Sunday School for a number of years. She enjoyed knitting, especially for Spang Crest to sell in their shop, and baking, especially cookies and cakes to give away. The funeral service for Mrs. Grace Brubaker will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Christman's Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., with a viewing hour starting at 10:00 AM. A graveside service will immediately follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made in Grace's name to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 28 N. 9th St., Lebanon, PA 17046.
