George J. Wagner, of Hummelstown, died Friday, January 30th at the Lebanon VA Medical Center.
He was born October 23, 1953 in Ashland, Pa. to Isabelle and the late George Wagner. He graduated from Central Dauphin High School in 1971. George then served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War where, he was a Missile System Maintenance Specialist. He loved NASCAR, the outdoors, but mostly, his grandchildren and his 3 sons. He will be remembered as, always being their when you needed him and was willing to help with anything.
George is survived by his sons mother, Joanne Wagner, and his three sons, Randall and his wife, Brittany. Also, Robert and his wife Maggie, and Joseph Wagner as well as his grandchildren Ethan, Kylie Ann, Chase, and soon to be born grandson. He leaves behind his mother Isabelle Wagner, brother Leonard and his family, and brother, Randolph. Also surviving are his sisters, Chris Mason and her family, and Judy Fesemyer and family, and neice Kimberly Miller and her family. Preceding in death by his father, George James Wagner, and sister Sandra Pappas.
The family plans on a private service and a memorial in George's honor at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in the spring. It is George's wish to donate his remains to science for future generations. In lieu of flowers, his wish was for any donations to be sent to The Lebanon VA Medical Center.
