Catherine L. "Silver Slipper" Smith, 89, formerly of Pleasant Hill, passed away with her family by her side, on Friday, January 29, 2016 at Cedar Haven.
She was born on Wednesday, March 24, 1926 to the late Casper Shirk and Bertha Shirk nee Martallas in Lebanon. She enjoyed bingo, cooking, friends and family. She was also the president of Lebanon United Monitor Patrol. Catherine loved her roses and the family will miss her famous baked beans and potato salad. The family would also like to acknowledge the Staff at Cedar Haven 1D and Caring Hospice Services of Lancaster for their kind and compassionate support.
Surviving are daughter Sandra L. spouse of Charles Agee, Sr.; son David Isgriggs; grandchildren Kevin, Rebecca, Karlene, Kelly, Kenneth, Rachelle, David Jr., Heather, Michelle, Melissa; great grandchildren Chelsie, Kenneth Jr., Kiara, Cole, Leah, Nicholas, Alex, Luke, Megan; sister Ann Carpenter; several nieces and nephews; pet Lucky. She was preceded in death by husband Karl J. Smith; daughter Karla "Kork" spouse of Roger Weierbach; sons James "Buck" Isgriggs, Gary Isgriggs; brothers Richard Shirk, Steven Shirk; sister Betty Harvey.
Viewing will be on Friday, February 05, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
Funeral services will be on Friday, February 05, 2016 at 12:00 PM at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, following the service.
