Catharine Horst

Catharine R. "Sis" Horst, 85, of Myerstown, died on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at StoneRidge Town Center.
She was born on Sunday, February 07, 1932 to the late William H. Smith and Ruth E. Smith nee Snoke in Lebanon. She was a member of First Evangelical Congregational Church and was in the co-workers Sunday School class for 50+ years, taught bible school, helped with the children's choir, nursery and in the kitchen. Catharine was a girl scout leader and enjoyed sewing, knitting and babysitting.
Surviving are daughters Shirley A. spouse of Robert A. Long, Debra K. spouse of Michael E. Smith, Susan M. Horst- Hill, Darlene M. spouse of James D. Cramer; grandchildren Leroy L. Horst, Rebekah L. Smith, Daniel A. Smith, Samuel A. Smith, Matthew J. Cramer; brother Karl R. spouse of Deanna Smith; sisters-in-law Christine Smith, Mae Smith, Genevieve Horst; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband Ralph E. Horst; brothers Russell R. Smith, Warren R. Smith, Floyd R. Smith; sister Eva R. Smith.
Viewing will be on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 12:00 PM at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, following the service.
