Allen L. "Buck" Fields, 87, of Lebanon, died on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at VA Medical Center.
He was born on Wednesday, April 27, 1927 to the late Charles E. Fields and Kathryn Fields nee Shadle in Lebanon. He worked as a bundler for Bethlehem Steel and was a veteran of the Navy in World War II.  A graduate of Lebanon High School in 1945, we enjoyed golfing and fishing. Allen was a member of Liberty Fire Co. Marching Club, VFW Post #23, Lebanon American Legion, Independent Fire Co., Navy Ship Club, Rescue Fire Co., 5th Ward and 'R' Field and Stream. He played semi pro football for 5th Ward Golden Gophers and Boro Rams. Allen loved all Pittsburgh sports teams especially the Steelers. The family encourages everyone to wear their favorite sports team shirts to the funeral.
Surviving are children Brenda spouse of Ronald Hickernell, Elizabethtown, Virginia spouse of C. Scott Noll, Myrtle Beach, SC, Charles Fields, State College, Kristi spouse of Harold Lingle, Lebanon, Kathi spouse of Kurt Peiffer, Lebanon; grandchildren Jason Boyer, Erin Swatski, Jon Noll, Casey Fields, Jared Lingle, Daniel Peiffer, Jordan Lingle, Erika Peiffer, Sheri Hickernell, Kristy Rothberg; great grandchildren Jack Swatski, Aiden Rothberg; brother William Fields; sisters Margaret Mann, Lois Golembewski; several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by wife Patricia A. Fields  nee Sholley.
Viewing will be on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, with full military honors, following the service.
